The uvex 2 safety footwear line builds on the successful uvex 1 line design to set new standards all over again. The robust uvex 2 safety shoe series in protection class S2 and S3 has been optimised to suit medium industrial applications. It is ideal for work in sectors including the chemical, transport, logistics, energy and mechanical engineering industries as well as handcraft. Optimum fit, light weight and exceptional temperature control are all properties which define uvex i-gonomics – the development of an advanced ergonomic product system. It provides measurable stress reduction for safety shoes. The right level of shock absorption is extremely important for safety footwear as is reduces strain on the musculoskeletal, while minimising the impact of moving and standing on hard, industrial factory floors.

• Distance mesh lining provides optimum breathability
• Individually adjustable due to elastic laces with quick-lock mechanism; normal laces also provided (6502 only)
• Virtually seam-free construction to eliminate pressure points
• Removable comfort insole, antistatic, with moisture control system and additional shock absorption in the heel and at the front of the foot
• Soft, padded collar and padded tongue
• Lightweight two-layer insole with excellent shock absorption characteristics and outstanding slip resistance, free of lacquer wetting inhibitors such as silicones and phthalates (plasticisers)
• Injection-moulded polyurethane scuffcap to protect upper leather on toe cap and significantly extend resistance time
• Meets ESD requirements: resistance to ground < 35 megaohm
